2024 Art de Vries Memorial Cup and Annual Club Celebration

Dear Members
The Labour Day long weekend is fast approaching and with it comes one of the most important events of the year for CNIP members and friends. We are continuing a tradition that goes back over 60 years with a sailing event (race) that also honours our departed friend Art de Vries and his contribution to sailing and our club.
In order to make the race more accessible to all and give everyone a chance to win, several starts will take place starting at 12:00, at an interval of five minutes. Each participant is assigned a start time based on the speed of their boat and their racing experience.
As in the last editions, we will combine the traditional race with the annual club celebration! BBQ, games for children, music and bonfire are on the program!
In the past some participants have worn costumes during the event to create a festive atmosphere. We invite participants this year to do the same!
You can register by using the attached form (link below) or by using the form at the bar. Members who do not wish to join the race can help make this day memorable by helping with the meal preparation, serving and cleaning up of the BBQ that will take place after the race.
We ask that you please register for the meal before 5pm on Sunday, August 25th on the form indicating the number of people to be fed.
Information:

  • There will be a helmsman meeting on the chalet terrace starting at 10:45 am.
