Port announcements
Harbor, Fall 2024
Hello to all members,
The haul out time is just around the corner.
Cradle day will take place on Saturday, October 5, starting at 8:30 AM. Once the preparatory work for winter storage has been completed, there will be a presentation on a new program for dismasting sailboats.
The sailboats will be hauled out on October 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20, starting at 8 AM. Haul out schedules for each day are posted on the club bulletin board.
On Sunday, October 6 at 10 a.m., Mr. Claude Auger will give a presentation on the safe dismasting of your sailboat and will answer members’ questions. His presentation will be followed by a demonstration.
If you install your mast on supports above the deck of your sailboat, make sure that the mast does not extend more than one foot beyond the transom of your sailboat. This safety measure allows the crane operator to move more freely between sailboats.
The harbour closing day will take place on Saturday, October 26th starting at 8 AM.
The Board of Directors wishes to remind you that cradle day, the day your sailboat is hauled out and harbour closing day are community work party days.
